Sara is a marine biologist, storyteller, and perpetual explorer with a serious case of itchy feet. Her career has taken her from working alongside luxury resorts and developing experiences for guests to chasing adventures with a backpack and very little money. On weekends, she’s likely to be packing up her Subaru with her dog Tilly , throwing a bag in the back, and taking the open road to see where it leads. Over the years, she’s traveled from dirtbag to ultra-luxury and everywhere in between—motorbiking through the Himalayas, diving with tiger sharks, exploring islands and coastlines, and occasionally finding herself somewhere that sells gold bars from a vending machine. With a love of the arts and sciences and an endless curiosity about people and place, Sara created Wild & Welcome to share the adventures, landscapes, food, stays, and stories that make this world such a fascinating place to explore. Most of all, she’s happiest outside, witnessing nature at its wildest and finding new reasons to care about the places we’re lucky enough to experience.
